Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
Produced by Gower Gulch company Western Feature, this very minor silent Western starred the rugged William Fairbanks (no relation to Doug) as a new ranch owner who is almost cheated out of his inheritance by a gang of crooked promoters. Featuring Dixie Lamont and Bud Kane, A Western Adventurer was one in a series of Fairbanks oaters produced and released by Phil Goldstone. It was Goldstone who had changed the name of former Carl Ullman into the flashier William Fairbanks. Neither the producer nor Fairbanks himself discouraged the obvious comparisons to Douglas Fairbanks, the most popular action star of his age.
