Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Befitting its network of origin (London Weekend Television), the British Weekend World was a Sunday political interview show. Telecast around lunchtime, the series was originally moderated by Peter Jay. Later on, the host was Brian Walden, whose pronounced speech impediment was mercilessly lampooned by TV and radio comics throughout the U.K. Weekend World began its run in 1972, and was last seen in 1988.
