Synopsis by Hal Erickson

The British series Watercolour Challenge was to the world of art what Masterchef was to the world of cooking. On each episode, three amateur artists were provided with paint and canvas and invited to "create" during a four-hour period. Upon completion of their efforts, a renowned art expert would assess the results and award prizes accordingly. Along the way, the experts would dispense sage advice to the would-be Rembrandts, and tours would be conducted of the locales being painted. The winners received a showing at one of Britain's leading art galleries. Created by Ed Forsdick, Watercolour Challenge debuted in 1998.
