In this 18-part series, scholars at England's University of Warwick have produced an examination of world history from the 16th century through the era of Mahatma Gandhi. The programs are aimed at students in high school and college. In Warwick History: American Independence, 1776, the events of the American Revolution are discussed, featuring its leaders, Thomas Paine and Thomas Jefferson. The documents that emerged from the struggle, including the Declaration of Independence and Common Sense, are also explored.
