Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
This grim vision of the future is set upon Earth in the year 3,000. By then the planet has become a wasted desert pummeled constantly by terrifying electrical storms. The few surviving humans are ravaged by deadly cancers. The only relief the survivors have is to take a potent hallucinogenic drug. Unfortunately, it only provides temporary relief; protracted use causes permanent insanity. The drug is controlled by power lords who in turn rule the world. Fortunately, for humanity, one man is courageous enough to fight back against them.
