Synopsis by Alice Day
In this compilation of vintage World War II fighter planes, four programs depict classic aircraft with information about their best features. The Black Widow was the nickname for the plane shown in "Flying the Twin Boom P-61," which could find enemy targets with its radar. "Flying the Twin Engine P-38" has footage of the "lightning" guarding bombers as they sought Axis power targets, and the A-26 in "Flying the Twin Engine A-26" was suitably advanced to participate in three separate wars. "Flying the B-25 Mitchell Bomber" features the plane chosen for the Tokyo raid.
