Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter

The Gulf War of 1991 was watched by millions of people worldwide on CNN. The television network opens its archives to present this account of the war in a series narrated by Bernard Shaw. Shaw covered the Gulf War live from Kuwait, where Saddam Hussein sent military forces to take over oil interests there. The United States intervened on behalf of Kuwait, as well as its own oil interests, against Iraq. This episode chronicles the story of America's Desert Storm air war, with its high-technology air strikes that took out target after target with precision accuracy.
