Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The British game show Waffle was inspired by the board game Hudson's Rebus. In most such games, the players were required to identify a popular phrase, using illustrated clues which were revealed square by square. In this instance, however, the players had to identify individual words via the same process. Each game ran six rounds, with the monetary stakes increasing with every successive round (naturally). Hosted by Nick Weir, Waffle was telecast in 1995.
