Synopsis by Sarah Ing
The Vietnam Home Movies series is a rare look at the personal side of war. Created with footage shot by men who were there, the documentary goes where cameramen often cannot. In Vietnam Home Movies: Front-line Artillery and Infantry Action, two foot soldiers are profiled along with their companies. Specialist 4 Jeffrey Overton shares his experience in the Mekong Delta as he tours with Rifle Company "C." Staff Sergeant Steven M. White also gives a close account of the battle for an outpost along the Ho Chi Minh trail. The narration comes straight from the hearts of the infantry that fought on the front lines.
