Diego de Silva Velasqez stands as one of the most important figures in the history of painting. Manet, Picasso, and even Francis Bacon were taken with his portraits of figures in King Philip IV of Spain's royal court. Didier K. Baussy's documentary Velasquez: The Painter of Painters details the man's life and work. Baussy was allowed to photograph dozens of Velasquez's paintings.
