Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Edward Andrews (Bryant Washburn) is a reserved, pragmatic young man, while his girlfriend Frances Raymond (Wanda Hawley) is more the romantic type. He decides that it would make her happy to elope, but to keep things on the up and up (at least in 1910s terms), he invites his grandma (Edythe Chapman) along. Then, since he's too timid to kidnap her himself, he gets a wanderer, Michael Rudder (Casson Ferguson) to do it. The problem is that when Rudder snatches Frances away and brings her to Edward, she falls for the drifter. Rudder, however, doesn't want to be tied down to a wife and returns to his freewheeling life. But Frances mourns for him, so finally Edward tracks him down and he returns to propose to her. But Frances has finally realized that it's Edward she loves. Needless to say, Ferguson stole the picture away from Washburn, whose character was annoyingly spineless. This feature was adapted from the stage play by Robert Housum.
