Synopsis by Jack Rodgers
This biopic chronicles the early days of philosopher and socialist thinker Karl Marx (August Diehl), depicting his close friendship with Friedrich Engels (Stefan Konarske) in 1840s Europe. The two men rigorously debate the socioeconomic impact of the Industrial Revolution, which eventually leads them to co-author the Communist Manifesto. Directed by Raoul Peck.
