Synopsis by Daniel Gelb
This period drama from director Hugh Hudson recounts the world's first discovery of prehistoric art, found in the cave of Altamira in 1879. Antonio Banderas stars as Marcelino Sanz de Sautuola, an amateur archaeologist who owns the land in Spain where the cave is located. In time, his findings forever change humanity's understanding of their prehistoric ancestors.
