Synopsis by Erin Demers
Legendary Soviet director Sergei Eisenstein (Elmer Bäck) has a personal awakening during a trip to Mexico in 1931 to make a pro-communist movie. As the filmmaking process balloons to epic proportions, Eisenstein finds himself being pressured to return to Stalinist Russia. Already driven to distraction by an intriguing young chaperone (Luis Alberti), the quirky genius must face the unthinkable possibility that his film may not be completed. Directed by Peter Greenaway. Maya Zapata, Rasmus Slätis, Jakob Öhrman, and Lisa Owen co-star.
