An orphaned student and burgeoning choreographer tempts fate to find out if the man who is pursuing her is the once in a lifetime love she was told about during a visit to an unusually accurate Tarot reader. Priya grew up without a family, and now the one thing she longs for is to find the perfect husband, and have children of her own. Her diary is a blueprint for her future family, but when the mysterious Sunita Rao foresees a visit to South Africa and a whirlwind romance with the man of her dreams, Priya writes it off as mere coincidence. A few days later, however, Priya begins to have her doubts after receiving an invitation to an upcoming youth festival in South Africa - where she meets mischievous Amit from Delhi. Amit has just raided the girl's dorm with a friend when the house mother comes after him, and he ducks in Priya's room to make a quick escape. After perusing Priya's diary, the smitten Amit showers her with affection. But when Priya realizes Amit has deceived her, she promptly breaks up with him. Haunted by Amit's parting comment that they were destined to be together, however, Priya instructs him to write his name on a rupee note, which she then uses to purchase a notebook in which she writes her personal information and sells to a bookstore. If they truly were meant to be together, reasons Priya, the book will find its way to Amit. Three years later, both Priya and Amit find out exactly what fate has had in store for them all along.
