Fate and obsession lead a young woman to an encounter with her past in this drama. Now twenty-one, Aki has become obsessed with unanswered questions about her parents' death, and while looking through their papers she finds a map of Germany, with a red mark drawn at a particular intersection. Hoping to resolve some unanswered questions, Aki flies from Japan to Germany and makes her way to East Allgaeu, were at a police station near the spot on the map she meets Elias Weber (Orlando Klaus), a eighteen-year-old troublemaker who is being questioned about a motorcycle accident. Later that night, Elias and his sister happen upon Aki, who is caught in the rain and has no place to stay. Elias persuades his father Johannes (Hans Kremer) to let Aki stay the night, but unlike Elias, Johannes knows that he and Aki's family have crossed paths before.
