Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Pennsylvania National Guard serviceman Jeremy Zerechak documents his experiences as a member of the clandestine Iraq Survey Group assigned the task of locating the ever-elusive weapons of mass destruction in this film presenting an unflinching look at both the War in Iraq, and the ways in which our brave and patriotic soldiers are gradually undone by chaos, corruption, and the depression that goes with fighting such a futile mission. Originally joining the National Guard as a means of paying for film school, Zerechak armed himself with a camera when, in 2004, his unit was activated and prepared for deployment in Iraq. Over the course of the next year, Zerechak shot over fifty hours of footage that highlighted the absurdity of fighting a mission that was doomed to failure from the moment his orders were issued.
