An ambitious young journalist interviews the caretaker of an archaic cemetery and hears two stories of two strangers whose fates were bound together by an enigmatic secret. In the first tale, a vicious gangster orders the death of his former-partner's girlfriend after a shipment of cocaine goes missing, and later receives a series of mysterious dinner guests inquiring about an obscure relic. The second tale, set in the Middle Ages, follows two ruthless soldiers of the Inquisition in their pursuit of a renegade priest who may hold the secrets of the Eternal Heart - an elusive relic with the power to make men immortal.
