Future Hong Kong autuer Wong Kar-wai wrote the screenplay for this cop action flick directed by Norman Law Man. Lau Kwok-wah (Andy Lau Tak-wah) and Li (Ray Lui Leung-wai) are brothers who work together on the police force. When Li is gunned down by the villainous crime boss Lung (Dick Wei), Lau vows revenge and teams up with Li's former partner Tang (Kent Cheng Chuk-see) and a beautiful junkie informant (Cherie Chung Cho-hung) to track down Lung. They eventually hit upon a plan -- Lau will pretend to be the owner of a luxe jewelry store hoping to double-cross his insurance by hiring Lung's thugs to rob him. In fact, Lau will double cross Lung and simply arrest him during the robbery.
