Lee Kwok-lap spins this cheapie tearjerker featuring Simon Yam. The film focuses on Lung (Yam), a drunken, downwardly mobile gangster who recently got divorced and is trying to raise his young son. His neighbor is a beautiful businesswoman named Li (Shirley Kee) who is in a relationship with obsequious sleazeball Chris (Kenneth Clark) and who struggles to take care of her mother who is dying of Parkinson's disease. Worried that his frequent brushes with the law are making him a less than stellar role model, Lung tries to go straight by opening a restaurant. Around the same time, Li breaks up with her fiancé and gets ever closer with Lung. Yet when Lung's business partner runs off, he goes on a drunken bender and Li returns to her ex. Will these two finally get together or will Lung continue to go through life a drunken shell of man wondering what went wrong?
