Synopsis by Janiss Garza

The story to this Western was pretty much routine stuff -- the hero is mistaken for an outlaw, the rancher's pretty daughter is kidnapped, and the bad guys get it in the end while the hero gets the girl. But filmgoers never went to Westerns for their plot lines -- they wanted to see action and Universal star Art Acord, who was a real-life cowboy -- gave it to them. In addition to his lariat skills, Acord often had help from his well-trained horse and dog. All these elements come into play here, with Acord in the role of Art Downs. The Hatley clan, who are rustlers (C.E. Anderson and Edmund Cobb), think Downs is a bad guy, just like them, so when they've kidnapped Molly, the girl (Velma Connor), they invite him to their lair. Downs grabs the girl and they escape. The rustlers invade the ranch belonging to Molly's dad (Dudley Hendricks), but Downs rounds up a posse and captures the gang. He then reveals that he is really a Ranger, and wins Molly.
