Synopsis by Janiss Garza

In Billie Rhosdes first feature length film, her character is called "the Weed," which hints that she might be carrying on her comedic tradition. But the spunky actress who had starred in several dozen Christie comedies is stuck in a conventional drama. The Weed lives in a cabin near a health resort, where she sells farm goods. She meets an ailing old millionaire, George Bassett (Jack MacDonald), who takes a grandfatherly interest in her. She also meets handsome Ralph Long (Leo Pierson) when his car crashes in the mountains. She takes care of him until he is taken to the city. Bassett takes the Weed to his home -- also in the city -- where she becomes his nursemaid and shakes off the advances of the old man's nephew, Kenneth Stewart (Lamar Johnson). Her friendship with Long is renewed and he discovers that Stewart is actually the Weed's father, who abandoned his wife and daughter many years ago. Stewart is ashamed at the way he treated the Weed and leaves town, never revealing his identity to his daughter. Ralph and the Weed become engaged.
