Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Flagrant Delit (Caught Red Handed) is the French-language version of a popular early-talkie German musical. Blanche Montel plays the young wife of elderly toymaker R. Roberts. She tries to be faithful but can't help being swept off her feet by handsome young Henri Garat. The film's musical highlight is a waltz number by Friedrich Hollander, which sounded so much like a popular American tune of the period that UFA was obliged to shell out several thousand dollars to avoid a lawsuit. Future director Henri Verneuil adapted the film from Robert Liebmann's German original.
