Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
An old-fashioned burlesque theater, complete with ribald ladies warbling ribald songs, takes center stage in this Danish film comedy. The theater is situated at Bakken ("The Hill"), a folksy amusement park on the outskirts of Copenhagen, and is as beloved a tradition as beer and Danish smorgasbord. In between variety numbers, the comedy slows down to a predictable romance involving a handsome but shy waiter (Peter Steen) with girl troubles.
