Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
In this bleak, ironic tale, based on the book Plague by Andreas Fraguias, the inmates of an island concentration camp are presided over by a priest and a group of soldiers. They have been divided into two groups: those who have already lost their principles -- and are forced to torture members of the other group -- and those who have not. Much of the film is taken up with the exploits of one prisoner who is tortured and believed dead but then shows up alive at an inconvenient time.
