Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Thomas Meighan and Leatrice Joy star in this slight but amusing comedy-melodrama; they would appear together again later in the year in a far more prestigious film -- Cecil B. DeMille's Manslaughter. New York millionaire Richard Chester (Meighan) is called West to the silver mines where he made his fortune. His old friend, who is superintendent of the mine, is killed by bandits, leaving behind five motherless (and now fatherless) children. On his deathbed, the friend asks Chester to take care of them, and he promises. The young ones immediately wreak havoc in Chester's life. On the train back to New York, they practically turn the whole Pullman upside down. Then, when they arrive home, Chester informs his fiancee, Ethel McVae (Maude Wayne), that he's got a surprise for her -- the kiddies. The frivolous Ethel, who was expecting something "set in platinum or gold" is horrified to be faced with this overwhelming responsibility and promptly dumps her sweetheart. But Chester's faithful and loving secretary, Sally Lockwood (Joy), offers to help him out by taking in the youngest tot, who is ill, while the others go away to boarding school. Chester realizes he has always loved Sally anyhow, and proposes to her.
