Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
The subtle, delicate relationship between three stepbrothers provides the basis of this unsentimental Japanese drama. The brothers have gathered in the rural summer home of their missing father. The eldest, Ichitaro was a child pianist who currently works as a children's music teacher. Charming Takeshi has dropped out of college and freeloads, while art-student Tuguo, the only real stepbrother, quietly wrestles with the crush he has on Ichitaro. The brothers' visit is marked by a distinct discomfort that is only increased when Sakeko, their female cousin suddenly shows up and begins making it very clear that she still carries a torch for Takeshi. Takeshi's girl friend is not amused.
