Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Cowboy star Hoot Gibson had plenty of circus and rodeo experience under his belt by the time he starred in the tailor-made vehicle The Wild West Show. In this one, the old Hooter joins a poverty-stricken travelling show, out of love for the show's star attraction, aviatrix Dorothy Sullivan. Gibson manages to turn the show around financially with his fancy ridin', ropin' and shootin'. Alas, the villains abscond with the receipts just before the bank shows up to foreclose. But Gibson chases down the crooks and recovers the dough, with time to spare. Like most of Hoot Gibson's best vehicles, Wild West Show has a surplus of comedy relief; one the funnier scenes finds our hero at the mercy of a near-sighted knife thrower.
