Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This morality play gives its main characters allegorical names -- while this added "deep meaning" to the picture in its day, it sounds unintentionally funny now. Mind (Milton Sills) is a college student who has fallen for Body (Florence Reed), a barmaid. In spite of the warnings of his brother, Soul (Irving Cummings), Mind neglects his studies for the earthly delights offered by Body. The struggle between Body and Soul continues, but Soul finally wins out and Mind finishes school. Soul becomes a minister, while Body goes on to wreak havoc in the life of a Champion Pugilist (Wellington Plater), a Musician (Fred C. Jones), an Actor (Albert Hall) and a Banker (E.J. Radcliffe). But finally Soul shows her the error of her ways and she joins his church. She spends her time saving lost souls until she is shot by a character with the wonderful name of Slimy Thing (George Cooper). This story was originally a stage play by Edwin Milton Royce.
