Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This romantic adventure stars Eugene O'Brien who, when all was said and done, gained most of his fame for playing Norma Talmadge's love interest in many of her mid-1920s pictures. Howard Anderson (O'Brien) is a wealthy young American in Stamboul on the search for some excitement. Disguised as a Persian, he sneaks into what appears to be a slave market and pays sixty thousand dollars for a fetching young woman. The girl turns out to be a fellow American, Mary Talbot (Sigrid Holmquist, who was still being called "the Swedish Mary Pickford). Mary explains that her father is a scientist and she has been kidnapped and held for ransom -- on top of that, the "auction" was merely a ruse to get Anderson's money. Anderson and the girl have to escape from their tormentors, Hassard (Bigelow Cooper) and his accomplice, Kadir (Arthur Housman, for once not playing a drunk!). Eventually, they do get away, but they also are separated. Not to worry, however -- the pair find each other once again in New York.
