Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Young widow Nadine Trent (Kitty Gordon) spends her time and money supporting amateur plays. Her protégée is Vera Seynave (Muriel Ostriche). One night Vera gets a big break when she replaces one of the leads in a play. But her performance does not go well and the critics lambaste her the next day, especially Rodney Gale (Irving Cummings). Distraught Vera attempts suicide, and Nadine is furious with Gale and seeks revenge. Since Maude (Pinna Nesbit), the wife of her friend Hollis Foster (George MacQuarrie), is in love with Gale, this is easily arranged.
