Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Filmmaker Dahna Abourahme follows the plight of four Palestinian families living in Dheisheh Refugee Camp during the millennial Intifada in an unflinching and intimate documentary that seeks to put a human face on a conflict that has affected countless lives. From the efforts of 13-year-old Fadi to raise his four younger brothers to the warm life lessons shared by the Hammash family, single Sana's important community work, and young couple Emad and Hanan's tireless efforts to maintain their young daughter's innocence as the grim realities of the occupation cast a harsh light on life in the camp, Abourahme's subjects bare their souls for the camera for the benefit of others going through similar hardships and to educate those who may be too far removed from the conflict to truly understand it.
