Synopsis by Hal Erickson
This late-night cable series was devoted to "tech pop culture" -- that is, it looked into the effectiveness and durability of the newest technical products. The series was hosted by Martin Sargent, a self-proclaimed "loser in life" who at least knew his machinery. Sargent was ably assisted by Laura Swisher, while the products in question were tested by staff scientist Perry Jones. Covering subject matter ranging from do-it-yourself repair to installing the proper "smells" in one's home, the series used a comedy slant to impart valuable information. Unscrewed joined the lineup of cable's Tech TV on August 16, 2003.
