Synopsis by Dan Pavlides
Two disabled children are confined to wheelchairs and unable to speak. They are helped by a nurse who allows the two to spend time together. The boy helps the girl learn how to paint as he uses his hands to communicate to the girl. Their human spirit and affection for one another soars above any disability they may have. Unfortunately, the girl apparently dies and the boy is saddened by the demise of his friend in this symbolic triumph of love and friendship over adversity. This feature appeared at the 1969 Venice Film Festival to a favorable response.
