Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Ora Carew stars in this light romantic comedy from Universal. Betty (Carew) is a small-town girl who inherits a lot of money and is able to pursue her dream of moving to the big city. She brings along her spinster friend, Eliza (Blanche Rose), and they rent an expensively furnished bachelor apartment from a butler who is posing as the owner, Jerome Kent, who is out of town. When the real Kent (Forest Stanley) shows up, Betty thinks he is a burglar, but finds him too handsome and charming to turn in to the police. Instead she decides to reform him by hiring him as her chauffeur. Since Kent has fallen for Betty, he plays along just to be close to her. When there is a rash of jewel thefts in the neighborhood, suspicion falls on Kent, but the newsboy Jimmy (Burwell Hamrick), knows who the real culprits are. Eventually everything gets cleared up, the crooks are arrested, and Betty and Kent are left to pursue their romance.
