Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

When thirty-two year old truck driver Todd Sturgis decided to step into the octagon and test his mettle as a cage fighter, his supportive wife Tamara picked up a video camera and began documenting his training. Before long, what was originally only to be seen by family and friends had evolved into a feature documentary detailing the emotional tool that it takes on a wife to see her husband engage in one of the most brutal sports ever. As Tamara's anxiety began to take hold she reached out to Valery Fanshier, wife of renowned cage fighter James Fanshier. In the interviews with Valery that followed, the pair remain completely open about their hopes and fears. Later, at Franshier's gym, Tamara makes the acquaintance of fighter Jaime Jara. When one of Jara's fights goes horribly awry, the toll that it takes on his family is palpable; leading the filmmaker to further explore what it means to love and support a fighter. Though things seem to take a bad turn when Todd has a falling-out with his trainer and is forced to seek out a new gym, what once appeared to be a disaster instead becomes a blessing in disguise. Later, after training under a new coach, Todd steps into the ring as his loved ones gather to cheer him on and the camera rolls to capture every intense moment.
