Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
This drama fictionalizes certain apects of the life of the pioneer filmmaker Fritz Lang (Jurgen Morch). As the filmmaker tells his life story to a young Hollywood writer, it appears on the screen in flashbacks. In this film, Lang is introduced to filmmaking by a lawyer in a small Baltic town during World War One. There, he makes his first film, and becomes romantically and professionaly involved with some very high-strung people.
