Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The title character in this Eclipse historical drama is a despotic ruler known as the Podesta. As a means of keeping the citizens of Florence in line, the Podesta demands that everyone in the city salute his hat. An elderly couple refuses to do so, whereupon they are sentenced to death. As for the couple's pretty daughter -- well, the Podesta has "special" plans for her. Avenging her mother and father, the heroine pretends to succumb to the Podesta's charms, then plies the tyrant with a deadly poison.
