In one of her last films before joining Paramount Pictures, Clara Bow stars as Dorothy Hamis, the niece of conservative millionaire John A. Hamis (George Fawcett). Dorothy is in love with "lounge lizard" James Radley (Allan Forrest) while Uncle John would prefer her to keep company with a man of his choosing, Robert McFerth (Wallace MacDonald). In cahoots with a pilot friend, Uncle John arranges for Dorothy to crash-land on a "deserted" island in the company of her two suitors. It is hoped that Radley will prove himself a useless coward when faced with danger and deprivation, thereby driving Dorothy into the arms of McFerth. Instead, the exact opposite happens: McFerth shows himself to be unworthy of the girl, while Radley survives the fabricated ordeal with flying colors.
