Zayane is 75 years old. Since her arrival in France many years ago, she has never left the borders of her city. One day she receives a letter informing her of the death of a man she had formerly known in Algeria. She decides to travel to Algeria to recover a box that the deceased left her. During her absence, her eleven children gather in her apartment and discover the truth about her past in Algeria.
