Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Charles Hutchinson, who was generally billed as Charles Hutchison, uses all the tricks he learned as a serial star in this action-packed melodrama. Secret service man Jim Manning (Hutchinson) goes to a police auction and buys a mysterious trunk after a heated bidding war. A girl, Marion Hampton (Alice Calhoun), and two crooks, Fawcett (Richard Neil) and Stevanov (Otto Lederer), do everything they can to get the trunk away from Manning. It turns out that it contains a valuable necklace -- Marion's father, John (Charles Mack), has been falsely imprisoned for its theft, and the two crooks are the ones who stole it in the first place. Marion and Manning join forces to apprehend the real culprits (giving Hutchinson an opportunity to engage in a number of death-defying stunts, including a motorcycle ride over a gaping hole). Eventually the crooks are rounded up, Hampton is freed, and Manning wins the girl.
