Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Jacques de Merincourt (Joseph Swickard) brings his daughter Eve (Marguerite de la Motte) home from the convent so she can marry wealthy Henry Caron (Arthur Hoyt). De Merincourt needs Caron's money to pay off his debts, but Eve, who had a brief encounter with a soldier, Richard Bedell (Wallace MacDonald), while she was at the convent, doesn't want to get married. She tries to drown herself and is saved by none other than Bedell. Later, Bedell finds work in an airplane factory but after he inherits a fortune he carelessly wastes the money. Eventually he comes to his senses and decides that going to Trumpet Island will make a man of him. Eve, meanwhile, has finally married Caron and after the ceremony they go for an airplane ride. The plane crashes and they too wind up on Trumpet Island. Caron is conveniently killed by robbers, leaving Eve and Bedell together. This picture was based on the novel by Gouverneur Morris.
