Synopsis by Hal Erickson
This hour-long game show was predicated upon its participants' knowledge of "useless" but entertaining facts about food. The ubiquitous Marc Summers hosted as three contestants per show were quizzed on all manner of culinary trivia: favorite dishes of celebrities, food slang, eating references in songs and movies, etc. Categories included "The Ladle in Red," "Fictional Confections," "Dances With Food," and "The Jambalaya Round," while prizes ranged from 100 dollars worth of Spam to an all-expenses-paid trip to a New Orleans cooking school. Trivia Unwrapped debuted August 25, 2003, on cable's Food Network.
