Lee Lik-chi spins this zany comedy about world-class trickster Ko Hing (Lau Ching-wan) who has become so accomplished in his chosen trade that he hires out his services for a hefty fee to wealthy patrons with an axe to grind. However, Ko has a code of ethics and will not target a person whom he does not feel deserves it. When he refuses one such job, the frustrated would-be client hires Ko Hing's rival Lau Kar-lin (Lau Kar-ying) who goes by the moniker "the Handsome and Charming Tricky Emperor." While fending off Lau's prank, Ko accidentally knocks a beautiful though destitute blind lass named Moon (Anita Yuen Wing-yee) down a flight of stairs. Feeling sorry for the girl, Ko lets her stay at his place and inevitably love blooms.
