Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Created by Bill Sellars, the twice-weekly British serial Triangle earned a negative fame as one of the cheapest and most ineptly produced programs of its kind. Filmed on location in the North Sea, the series chronicled the adventures of the crew and passengers of a ferry boat which traversed the Felixstowe-Amsterdam-Gottenberg triangle. The most notorious episode found toothsome leading lady Kate O'Mara, wearing next to nothing, sunbathing on the deck of the ferry. Though the actress tried to convey the notion that the weather was balmy, the scene was obviously filmed on one of the coldest days of the year, and O'Mara's shivering discomfort was all too palpable. Despite such howlingly awful sequences, BBC1 kept Triangle afloat for two years, from 1981 to 1983, grinding out 79 25-minute episodes.
