Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Episode 31 of Travels in Europe With Rick Steves finds the host in France's Dordogne region, home of the Lascaux cave paintings and goose liver pâte. Rick explores the famous Dordogne castles, including the fabled Chateau de Beynac. On a more sober note, he pays a visit to Oradour-sur-Glane, the deserted village that has remained virtually untouched since its population was slaughtered by the Nazis in 1944. Finally, it is off to Albi, the embarkation point for the Albigensian Crusades and the birthplace of Toulouse-Lautrec.
