Episode 45 of Travels in Europe With Rick Steves finds the host making a return trip to England, specifically Northern England. Rick begins with an exploration of Iron Bridge Gorge, cradle of the Industrial Revolution. In Blackpool, the tour climbs the city's fabled tower, then drops in at Pleasure Beach for a thrilling ride on Blackpool's celebrated 235-foot roller coaster. Next comes a tour of the Cumbrian Lakes District, 120 square miles of some of England's most beautiful (and highest) topography. After a stopover at Dove Cottage, home of poet William Wordsworth, Rick closes out his holiday with a few glimpse of Durham's Norman Cathedral.
