Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Continuing his journey through Germany in this fourth episode of Travels in Europe, Rick Steves arrives in Munich, the country's "most liveable city" -- especially since its almost total reconstruction after WWII. After stopovers at Marienplatz and the Wittelsbach Palace, it's off to the interior of Bavaria. A sober and serious exploration of the infamous Dachau is followed by a lighthearted tour of Neuschwanstein, the splendiferous Bavarian castle of "Mad" King Ludwig. Also, Rick Steves and his wife, Ann, describe the best method of traveling with small youngsters in Europe.
