Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
After killing her brutally abusive husband at the behest of her outwardly supportive online chat pal Amy, desperate housewife Nicole flees to her cyber-friend's country home only to discover that Amy is not what she seemed in the debut feature of award-winning Michigan-based writer/director James Bonner. Nicole has suffered for far too long, and through it all her only confidant was a faceless internet chat partner only known as Amy. As Nicole's violent husband grows ever more destructive and the battered wife begins fearing for her life, Amy implores Nicole to strike back with deadly force lest she meet a tragic fate at the hands of a raging monster. Upon reluctantly completing her grim task and hastily making her way to Amy's secluded home, Nicole is shocked to discover her friend's bloodied body lying lifeless in the bathtub. As Amy's tortured husband attempts to explain his precarious situation and Nicole's mind spirals into a frenzied blur of paranoia and distrust, the stage is set for a deadly struggle from which only one of the two victimized spouses is likely to emerge alive.
