Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
This film's title, Trampa, means "swap." A middle-aged journalist returns to his native village from his home in Bulgaria's capital, Sofia, to judge an amateur poetry contest. There, he meets a girl who is the spitting image of a girl he had loved many years ago. In fact, she is that woman's daughter. He lost his earlier love when he "swapped" her for another; which is to say, he had a brief fling with another woman. The girl in the present has temporarily set aside her own boyfriend, a budding writer, in order to impress the journalist, which is a similar kind of swap. This situation prompts all sorts of memory flashbacks in the journalist covering previous events in his life.
